About Yorkshire Property Prep
Yorkshire Property Prep is an independent cleaning and property preparation business run by Ashley “Ash” Taylor from Monk Bretton, Barnsley. We are a young business, and we would rather tell you that honestly than borrow credibility we haven't earned yet.
Who you're dealing with
You speak to Ash directly — the person quoting your job is the person doing it. There's no call centre, no subcontracting chain and no franchise script.
That means quotes are honest about what is achievable. If a carpet has permanent dye damage or an oven has heat-scorched glass, we say so before taking your money rather than after.
How we quote and work
- Send photos and a few details on WhatsApp, or ring us during contact hours.
- We confirm the scope and a fixed price before booking — no call-out fees and no on-the-day price changes for the agreed scope.
- We arrive with our own equipment, water and products.
- You get completion photos on request, which is useful for landlords, agents and tenants dealing with deposits.
What we cover
Barnsley and the surrounding towns are our priority area. Bookings further into South Yorkshire and West Yorkshire depend on the service, the job value, travel time and availability — send your postcode and we'll confirm.
Outside Barnsley a minimum booking value may apply, or we may combine your job with other work in the area.
- Primary area: Barnsley, Monk Bretton, Wombwell, Hoyland, Cudworth, Royston, Dodworth, Darton, Goldthorpe, Wath-upon-Dearne, Penistone.
- Wider area, subject to availability: Sheffield, Rotherham, Wakefield, Doncaster.
Our service standard
- Fixed scope and fixed price agreed before we arrive.
- Honest assessment first: we tell you what can and cannot be improved.
- Completion photos on request.
- If something in the agreed scope was missed, tell us within 48 hours and we'll return to put it right.
What we don't claim
Plenty of cleaning websites lead with award badges, star ratings and guarantees that mean very little when something goes wrong. We only publish things we can evidence.
We don't display a review score yet, because we haven't collected enough genuine reviews to publish one. When we have, they'll be real, named and linked to their source.
Insurance and background-check details are confirmed in writing when you book, rather than advertised as a slogan.
We don't guarantee a specific completion time on the website. We agree a realistic date and time with you for your job, and we tell you early if anything threatens it.
