FAQs
How much does mattress cleaning cost?
From £35 per mattress by size — a single costs less than a king or super-king. A minimum booking value may apply if you're only booking one small mattress, so we'll confirm this when you send your details.
Can you remove all stains from a mattress?
We treat urine, sweat, and general staining with targeted solutions and hot-water extraction, but we're honest — old, set-in stains (especially on foam) may lighten without fully disappearing. We'll tell you what to realistically expect before booking.
How long does a mattress take to dry?
Usually 3–6 hours with good ventilation. We recommend booking a mattress clean in the morning if you need to sleep on it the same night, or use a fresh set of bedding while it finishes drying.
Is the process safe for children and pets?
Yes — we use non-toxic, rinse-extracted solutions. The mattress is safe to use as soon as it's fully dry to the touch.
Do you clean mattresses on their own or only as part of a bigger job?
Both — mattress cleaning can be booked on its own or added to a carpet clean, upholstery clean or move-in clean for the same visit.
Can you deal with dust mite allergies?
Hot-water extraction combined with a sanitising treatment significantly reduces dust mites and allergens in the mattress fibres, though we can't guarantee a completely allergen-free result.
Why hot-water extraction on a mattress
A mattress can't be soaked the way a carpet can — too much moisture risks the internal foam or springs. We use a controlled hot-water extraction process that lifts dirt and stains from the surface fibres without over-saturating the mattress, followed by a sanitising pass to deal with odours and bacteria.
What mattress cleaning does — and doesn't — fix
- Fixes: surface staining, general dirt, sweat marks, dust and light odours
- Improves: older, set-in stains and musty smells (may not fully disappear)
- Doesn't fix: sagging, structural wear, broken springs or foam degradation
- Doesn't fix: mattresses that need replacing due to age or hygiene beyond cleaning
